  • Hardscape Features + Custom Stonework

    Hardscaping + Stonework

Our hardscape and stonework services thoughtfully repurpose natural materials often found on-site to create custom, timeless hardscape features, including pathways, stairs and stone walls. We focus on low impact deployment to reduce unnecessary soil disturbance.

    Rain Gardens

A rain garden is a special garden designed to catch rainwater that runs off streets, roofs, or driveways. Instead of letting the water rush away and cause flooding, the garden slows it down and lets it soak into the ground. Native plants in the garden help clean the water while creating a healthy, green space that attracts birds, butterflies, and other wildlife.

  • Stewardship

    Stewardship + Land Care

We do not only create native landscapes; we help you care for them. Our stewardship and maintenance services protect, enhance, and sustain your landscape investment season after season.

Bayside Native Habitat Corridor

View of a garden with trees, small plants, flowers, rocks, and a house in the background during sunset.

Battered by full sun and installed atop glacial ledge this native understory planting is reminiscent of a lush woodland garden and reflects the client’s commitment to caring for the planet as much as it serves as a functional privacy screen. Tucked under the trees, is a dense matrix of native, shrubs, sedges and perennials - ideal habitat for birds and pollinators to forage, rest and shelter throughout the year.

Shoreline Stabilization

Exposed to wind and saltwater spray, this project demonstrates how resilience and beauty can coexist. Carefully planted by hand to limit soil disturbance, this multi-year restoration project will enhance the functional stability of the shoreline through the deployment of native plants that thrive along the coast.

Project Insight:

This project utilized coir logs which are long, tube-shaped bundles made from coconut fibers. They protect soil from washing away, especially near streams or slopes. Plants can grow out of it, and it creates a small habitat for insects, birds, and other wildlife. Over time, the logs break down naturally and become part of the soil. The best part? No plastic.

Simple & Timeless Pollinator Gardens

Sometimes less is more. This front yard sanctuary combines tidy native plantings packed with vibrant color to create a peaceful, welcoming space. Thoughtfully designed for ease of care, it supports pollinators, provides year-round interest, and invites calm and connection right at the client’s doorstep.

Design Notes:

  • Scalable Native Planting: Designed so client can gradually replace more and more lawn with native plants each year without being overwhelmed, matching their time and budget.

  • Flexible Seating: Two colorful Adirondack chairs invite sunny afternoons; lightweight and movable, they let you follow the sun or shade and the pollinators too.

  • Balanced Lawn: Portions of conventional lawn are intentionally retained to provide space for games, fetch, or casual outdoor play.

This designed native landscape lives in the in-between, where tall oaks loosen their shade and the meadow begins to breathe with sun and movement. Here, sunlit grasses sway in the background and in the shade, ferns mingle with woodland wildflowers. Birds slip easily between field and forest.

It’s a place meant for pausing - coffee in hand - to sit and observe, listen, wonder and find a moment of joy.
